In this article, I would like to introduce three very popular restaurants that I recommend in Okinawa Prefecture that use plenty of ingredients from the island and are so popular that they are considered Ishigaki Island specialties.

I recommend you to enjoy a trip to Ishigaki Island with delicious meals as the main attraction, as it is a different way to enjoy the island!

1. Tofu Higa (arrive early before they sell out!)

Tofu no Higa Ishigaki Island Gourmet

One of the most famous restaurants on Ishigaki Island where people line up from the early hours in the morning is Tofu Higa.

The store opens at 6 am and closes at 3 pm, but they often run out of tofu in the morning because they close as soon as they run out.

The place is so popular that customers line up outside before the place opens. The store is located in a sugarcane field on an unpaved farm road.

The specialty of Tofu Higa is yushi-dofu (ゆし豆腐).

Yushi-dofu is a soft and fluffy tofu, made by adding bittern to soy milk before it hardens. The hardened product would become shima-dofu, an Okinawan variant of tofu.

Enjoy the fluffy texture of this special tofu!

At Tofu Higa, you can enjoy freshly made yushi-dofu.

The menu also includes set meals, soba, miso soup, and other dishes, all reasonably priced at less than 1,000 yen.

The portions are large enough to fill you up, so the cost is excellent!

Another great point is that soy milk is always served as a set, and the yushi-dofu is very gentle on the early morning stomach.

Tofu Higa is very popular among the locals, and on some days they sell out and close as early as 8 am.

They do not accept reservations, so stick around and get there early!

2. Shun Ya Banchan (fluffy dashimaki tamago)

Shun Ya Banchan is a restaurant open from early in the morning, where you can enjoy a luxurious morning meal.

Shunya Banchan's specialty is its fluffy dashimaki tamago (だし巻き卵: egg rolls infused with broth).

It is incredibly soft and sweet, and almost all of the customers who visit Shunya Ban-chan come here for the fluffy dashimaki tamago.

The menu consists of only one set meal called the "Banchan Gozen."

For the main dish, you can choose from three options: dashimaki tamago, nankotsu soki, and ma-su steamed island fish. (*Nankotsu soki is a type of pork rib dish, and “ma-su" means "salt" in the Okinawan language.)

The ingredients are sourced from local farmers, and vegetables from the island are used in abundance, making this dish a delight for both the body and the soul.

The dessert is also delicious, with a gentle, sweet flavor!

The wait staffs are very polite and comfortable, and the ocean is spread out near the restaurant, so you can feel the nature of Ishigaki Island.

Shun Ya Banchan is by reservation only; you can make a reservation online one month in advance, so be sure to make a reservation in advance!

Re:hellow Beach is a famous cafe representing Ishigaki Island.

It is a cafe facing the ocean where you can enjoy tropical cuisine with plenty of island vegetables.

The menu, the exterior, and the interior all have an energetic Hawaiian taste. You can fully enjoy the tropical atmosphere.

The menu is rich in colorful island vegetables, and the appearance makes you want to take pictures, making it a perfect place for sharing on social media.

In addition to vegetables from Ishigaki Island, there are also dishes using black rice from Iriomote Island and brown sugar from Hateruma Island, allowing you to enjoy the bounty of nature of the Yaeyama Islands!

There is also an original goods corner in the store, where you can buy T-shirts, caps, accessories, and other items with a tropical taste, which are recommended as souvenirs or memories of your trip.

오키나와현의 ‘이시가키섬’은 투명한 바다와 맑은 하늘, 통통 튀는 남국의 식물들을 연상시키는 남쪽 섬이에요.

대자연이 이시가키섬의 가장 큰 매력이지만, 사실 섬에서 나는 신선하고 맛있는 식재료와 그 식재료를 활용한 요리도 관광객들에게 인기를 끄는 매력 중 하나죠.

이번에는 오키나와현에 거주하는 필자가 섬의 식재료를 듬뿍 사용한, 이시가키섬의 명물이라고 불릴 정도로 인기 있는 맛집 3곳을 추천해 드릴게요.

맛있는 음식을 찾아 떠나는 이시가키섬 여행, 분명 색다른 재미가 기다리고 있을 거예요!

1. 도후노 히가 (오픈런 필수! 오전 중에 매진될 수도!)

이시가키섬에서 일찍부터 줄을 서는 맛집이라고 하면 ‘도후노 히가’가 있어요.

영업시간은 6시 30분부터 15시까지이지만, 두부가 소진되는 대로 마감하기 때문에 오전 중에 매진되는 경우도 적지 않다고 해요.

오픈 전부터 줄을 설 정도로 인기 있는 이곳은, 비포장 농로를 따라 가다 보면 나오는 사탕수수 밭에 위치해 있어요.

‘도후노 히가’의 명물은 ‘유시두부(ゆし豆腐).

‘유시두부’는 두유에 니가리(간수)를 넣어 굳기 전의 부드럽고 푹신한 상태의 두부를 말하는데, 이를 굳히면 오키나와의 두부인 ‘시마두부’가 돼요.

폭신폭신한 식감을 즐길 수 있는 두부죠!

도후노 히가에서는 ‘갓 만든’ 유시두부를 드실 수 있어요.

정식, 메밀국수, 된장국 등의 메뉴가 있는데, 가격은 모두 1,000엔 이하로 저렴해요.

배부르게 먹을 수 있을 만큼 양이 푸짐해서 가성비도 최고!

두유가 세트로 나온다는 점도 마음에 들고, 이른 아침의 속을 달래주는 유시두부는 아주 부드러워요.

현지인들에게도 인기가 많은 도후노 히가는 빠르면 8시 대에 매진되어 문을 닫는 경우도 있다고 해요.

예약은 받지 않는다고 하니, 일찍 일어나야겠네요!

이른 아침부터 영업하는 ‘슌야반찬(슌야반짱)’은, ‘조금은 고급스러운 아침밥’을 먹을 수 있는 곳이에요.

슌야반찬의 명물은 뭐니뭐니해도 이 ‘푹신푹신한 계란말이’.

반찬이라기보다는 디저트에 가까운 느낌으로, 슌야반찬을 찾는 손님 대부분이 이 계란말이를 먹기 위해 찾아온다고 하죠.

메뉴는 ‘반찬 정식’, 단 한가지뿐.

메인 메뉴는 ‘계란말이’, ‘부드러운 연골 소키 조림’, ‘섬 생선 마스찜’ 중 한 가지를 고를 수 있어요. (※ 연골 소키는 돼지의 갈비뼈 주변 고기, 마스는 오키나와 말로 소금을 뜻합니다.)

현지 농가에서 들여온 식재료와 섬에서 수확한 야채를 듬뿍 사용해 몸과 마음이 모두 만족하는 요리예요.

식후 디저트도 단맛이 세지 않고 은은해서 맛있어요!

점원들의 응대도 정말 친절해서 편안한 분위기에서 식사할 수 있고, 가게 근처에는 바다가 있어 이시가키섬의 자연을 느낄 수 있어요.

슌야반찬은 완전 예약제예요. 한 달 전부터 인터넷으로 예약할 수 있으니 반드시 예약을 하고 가셔야 해요!

메뉴, 가게의 외관, 인테리어 할 것 없이 활기찬 하와이안 스타일로 남국에 온 듯한 기분을 느낄 수 있어요.

다채로운 색상의 섬 채소를 듬뿍 사용한 메뉴가 많은데, 사진을 찍어 SNS에 올리고 싶어지는 비주얼을 자랑해요.

이시가키섬에서 수확한 야채 외에도 이리오모테섬의 흑자색 쌀과 하테루마 섬의 흑설탕을 사용한 메뉴도 있어 야에야마 제도의 자연을 만끽할 수 있어요!

沖繩縣的 “石垣島”是一個南部島嶼,給人最深的印象是,清澈湛藍的大海,蔚藍的天空和盛開的熱帶植物。

石垣島最吸引人的是大自然風光,其實,島上新鮮美味的食材和充分利用好食材做成的美食也深受遊客喜愛。

本文,住在沖繩縣的我為您介紹三家人氣餐廳,食材都來自當地,品種豐富多樣,可以說是石垣島的特色料理店。

這次推薦的石垣島之旅是以美食為目的,您可以通過不同的方式享受愉快時光!

1. 豆腐的比嘉(一定要早起!上午就能賣完!)

說起石垣島一大早就開始排隊的餐廳,就是“豆腐的比嘉”。

早上6:30開店。雖然關門時間是15:00,但豆腐一賣完就不營業,所以常常在上午就售罄了。

非常受歡迎,甚至在開門前就已經排起了長隊,穿過一條未鋪路的農場道路是甘蔗田,這家店就在那裡。

“豆腐的比嘉”的特色菜是“煮豆腐”。

“煮豆腐”是指在豆漿中加入鹵水,變硬前處於柔軟狀態下的豆腐,凝固後就成了沖繩獨特的豆腐“島豆腐”。

這樣就能品嘗到口感軟嫩的豆腐!

在豆腐的比嘉,您可以吃到“現做”的煮豆腐。

提供套餐,蕎麥面,味噌湯等菜單,價格都在1000日元以内,經濟實惠,

分量十足一定能讓您吃飽,性價比很高!

令人喜悅的是,套餐都有豆漿,而清晨吃煮豆腐有助於消化。

旬家Banchan的招牌菜是 “蓬鬆的蛋捲” 。

與其說是菜,不如說口感更接近甜點,幾乎所有的客人都是為了品嘗這道菜而來的。

菜單只有一種名為「Banchan御膳」的套餐。

主菜有“高湯蛋捲”,“燉猪軟骨Soki”,“Mass清蒸島魚”三道菜可供選擇。(※軟骨Soki是指豬肋骨周圍的肉,Maas在沖繩語中是鹽的意思)
